The SOTAMA'2007 will cover a description of trends in processing, evaluation, modeling, design, and new applications of advanced materials from the point of view of multi-scale characterization of their microstructure. A wide spectrum of materials like metals, ceramics, polymers, composites, thin films, nanocrystalline materials, rocks, and bio-tissues will be discussed.
In the frame of the SOTAMA'2007 program, a KOBO technology will be demonstrated. The experimental set-up is located in the Faculty of Non-Ferrous Metals adjacent to the conference and exhibition place.
A Honorary Session on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of one of the creators of the modern quantitative texture analysis, Jan Pospiech, Professor in the home Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Cracow, will be celebrated on the opening day of the conference.
The conference language is English. There will be no translation.
