Abstract should be prepared using Microsoft Word software (*.rtf document), taking into consideration the following rules:
If you do not have access to the exact fonts and features called for in the above MS Word procesor, use the closest that you can find. It is intended to use the abstracts in the conference materials. Therefore, it is of interest to have the form of all the abstracts as uniform as possible. Thank you for your co-operation in this regard. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31th March, 2007. Notification of acceptance of papers and qualification for presentation will be given by May 31, 2007.
Presentations can be brought on CDs or Flash Discs (Pendrives). Each lecturer can bring also notebook. Presentations can be tested well before the lecture in the corresponding lecture room. The MsOffice XP standard software will be provided on the SOTAMA'2007 PCs.
Please deliver your poster to the conference desk on Wednesday, 26 th September. Poster sessions will be held in the coffee break area, close to the Conference Room and SOTAMA Exhibition on 27th and 28 September afternoon when the authors will present his posters. However, the posters should be displayed for all symposium time (starting from Wednesday afternoon), leaving the possibility for the authors to look at the other posters too. Please note the following information regarding your presentation:
Manuscript delivered for publication in the Archives of Metallurgy and Materials, where the SOTAMA'2007 contributions will be published should be original scientific work in English. Submission of the work implies that it, has not been published previously, and that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and that if accepted it will not be published elsewhere in the same form. All manuscripts will be assessed by qualified reviewers.
When preparing the manuscript, please pay attention to the following points:
All copies (original and one copy) of the manuscript (use Times New Roman typeface; point size - 12) must be double spaced, on one side of full-size paper (A4), with 2 cm margins (left, right, bottom and top). Such formatted manuscript should not exceed 12 pages (or 20 pages in case of keynote lecture contribution).
Articles submitted for publication should include its title (in bold letters) complete names (first name and family name), titles and current affiliation(s), mailing addresses of indicated corresponding author, and abstract (Polish authors please supply also translation into Polish), and key words.
Mathematical formulae should be numbered consecutively and Greek letters and the subscripts and superscripts must be clearly indicated. The line drawings are usually printed in reduced size and this should be taken into account when preparing them. This applies also to the photographs. For the best results linear reduction ratios are usually 50 %. Lettering on illustrations should be at least 2 mm high after reduction.
Figure captions should be typed on a separate page. The same refers to tables and all sorts of lists. The appropriate place of tables and figures should be indicated in the left hand margin using an ordinary pencil.
References should be typed on separate pages and numbered consequently applying the system accepted by the Quarterly (initials and names of all authors, paper/book title, journal title [abbreviated according to the Materials Information Service Source Quarterly]; journal volume or book publisher; page spread; publication year in bracket).
